The Suscan Part 1

So since a new laptop is not happening as quick as I’d like it to, please enjoy a short story I wrote about one of the day’s Strange and Scene have as Ghostbusters, or don’t, I ain’t ya mother.

Strange had spent the day working on the containment unit, giving it the normal check ups. He heard slight hoof steps behind him. He turn around and Scene was standing there.
“Why do you spends so much time with this thingy anyways?” Scene asked curious.
“Well, if I don’t, it’s very possible every ghost we’ve ever caught could escape and cause havoc.”
“So, like, all four of them at this point?”
Strange sighed and placed his face in his hoof annoyed.
Scene continued “Why don’t you take a break from that? We could go get lunch.”
“Not hungry, besides I only have a couple more checks to do.”
“Well that’s too bad, I would’ve felt better about spending your bits if you were getting food too.”
“What are you talk-” Strange asked as he turned his head to see her holding his bit wallet. He jumped up to follow her as she trotted laughing out of building.
About a half an hour later Draxxor, who had been working as the Ghostbusters office manager as a favor to Strange, walked into the office. “Strange! I’m back from Penpoint’s with that book you wanted.” She pulled the book from her satchel. The book was obviously old, the spine was cracking and the pages were faded and torn. The cover read “Alucard’s Paranomicon”.
Draxxor opened the book to a random page and read to herself out load. “The Suscan…. The ghost of a mare that ended her own life after being left at the altar. She stood at the bridge and waited for the late groom to show. According to legend she stood there for a week before passing out from starvation and falling. It’s said when she landed…” She paused for a moment from the brutality. “When she landed her scream was blood curling…. Her groom was found dead at the bridge four days later, he had gone deaf… Now she wards the afterlife waiting to take stallions hearing away if they ever keep a made waiting….”
Draxxor looked down at the book for a moment. “Pffft, yeah right…” She closed the book and threw it behind her, it landing close to the containment unit. “Why does he read that junk, ugh, I need some cider…” And she walked out the door.
It was too bad that Strange hadn’t finished inspecting the unit, because now the unit was leaking psychokinetic energy and it was pooring onto the pages of the paranomicon. The Suscan soon leaped from out of the pages and flew up into the sky.
