                                        Part 4 becoming a daddy

Just finished it in time now I have to go to work the joys well hope you enjoy the read ^^

The sun was out the birds were singing and there was a warm breeze in the air all in all a nice quiet day in Ponyvill, just then a the train pulled into the station and the doors were opened and out ran a unicorn wearing a smart business suit he was running as fast as his legs would carry him. Running through the crowds of ponies he was heading straight to the Ponvill hospital he had begged and pleaded for the day off but he was not given it this day was the day that his foal was due and he would be dammed if he was going to miss it, he had not run this fast in years a small trail of dry dust was been kicked up as he ran through the town he busted open the duel doors of the hospital and ran straight up to the front desk. By now he was all out of breath wearing a suit did not help maters sweat was dripping off his face he looked at the nurse sitting at the desk and managed to spit out the words “I..my..wife… having…a…foal.” She looked through her brown folders till she found the one she was looking for she picked it up with her hoof and said “Ah here we are luckily there was only one check in for pregnancy if you would follow me please.”

So the sweaty stallion followed the kind nurse to a room where he could hear voices the nurse lead him to the door smiled and made her way back to the front desk when she was gone he took a breath and knocked on the door and made his way inside, as he walked in nurse Redheart stopped him at the door and asked who you were? Then a soft voice could be heard telling her that he was the dad she let him pass her telling him that it was just a privacy thing he looked at her and said “It was fine thank you for doing your job,” he walked past her and what he saw made his heart explode with happiness and sadness there in the hospital bed was your mare and in her hoofs there was a small little unicorn foal sleeping all wrapped up in a blue blanket. He made his way over and gave the worn out mare a soft kiss he then told her how sorry he was that he had missed it looking at the floor, she tilled his head with her hoof and said “It’s fine and I’m fine I am just happy you’re here “that made him smile nurse Redheart made her way out to give the young parents some time alone with each other. As she left the stallion looked wide eyed at the sleeping foal she asked if he wanted to hold him. He was a bit nervous at first but then he pulled the chair from the corner of the room as he sat down he held out his hoofs she smiled and gently gave him his foal, as he was being moved the sleeping foal started to make noise as he lost his comfy spot but soon he went quite again as he found a new one.

She made a soft smile as she saw a small tear in his eye as he held him he looked at her and said “He’s beautiful” as he said that she replied “yes he is he’s just like his dad.” That made his heart fill with pride he give him back to his mum as he did that he said “He as his mum’s eyes” just then the young foal began to wake up he let out a soft yawn barely making a sound he looked around with his wide eyes seeing his mum and dad he let out a laugh making them both smile. The stallion moved close to his foal and gently gave him a sniff then  pressed his muzzle to his, the young foal did the same then the foal pulled out his little hoof and placed it on his dad’s muzzle looking down at this  mum smiled and said “Looks like you have just been booped.”The proud dad pulled back and wiped his eye with hoof removing the tears of joy that were building up as he did that he said “That’s my lad you’re already making your old man cry.” she drought the smiling foal to her face and asked “Do I get a boop to?” The foal just looked at her she looked at her stallion and said “Oh shore you get a boop he is defiantly yours.”

Smiling at her with a wide smile and ears perked all the way up he said in a cheeky voice “What can I say it’s what I do” then he moved to the mare in the bed and booped her nose with his hoof sticking his tongue out making the foal do a small laugh, then nurse Redheart came in and asked if all was OK the parents both said “Yes all is fine thank you” Redheart did her thing and when she was happy with it all she looked at the couple and said “Well if all is OK with you let’s see about getting you home I’m sure you would rather sleep in your own bed.” She ended with a smile 30 minutes or so later they were outside and heading home by now the sun was setting when they were home the only thing they wanted to do was go to bed so that’s what they did, that placed all the foal stuff on the settee and made their way to the bed room just as they were getting in the mum said “Just going to the bathroom be back in a second.” She was only gone for a minute or so but when she came back she saw that they both were fast asleep her stallion was on his back and on his chest was her foal he had buried himself in his dad’s chest fuzz and was curled up into a small ball she looked at the sight and laughed to herself saying “you defiantly your fathers colt” with that she made her way to bed.
